In Vietnam pre-primary education is imparted to the children of the age group between 18 months to 5 years.

Sometimes education on ABC and basic math are imparted to the children of 4 or 5 years.

Pre-primary education has a popularity in some major cities of Vietnam like Ha Noi, Can Tho, Ho Chi Minh City, etc.

In Vietnam primary education is imparted to the children of the age group of 6 years. The total time taken for the completion of primary education is 5 years. This education is mandatory for all the children of 6 years age.

From grade 6 to 9 intermediate education is imparted to the students by Middle schools in Vietnam.

For graduation the students have to clear the Intermediate Graduation Examination. The local Department of Education and Training held this examination.

Secondary education of Vietnam comprises grades 10, 11 and 12. After clearing the Intermediate Graduation Examination students takes admission in the high school.

For higher education at Vietnam high school graduates have to clear University Entrance Examination.

After scoring good marks in this examination students can get admission in the Universities of Vietnam.

Vietnam has 23 public universities which also imparts excellent higher education.
